that the righties here are always calling the lefties "idiots" and "loonies" considering Bush's lack of intelligence.

Bush seems pretty damn smart these days....

The looney left is wrong again....

77% of Americans support Bush and the war.

And apples are red and bananas are yellow. And nobody has every gone broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public, they buy Chia-pets and Clappers. What the hell does 77% support have to do with his intelligence level. The public always rallies in times of war.

Man!, and you righties are the ones saying spin all the time!

Damn outandup, and you guys call the lefties dumb, you're dropping to new levels.

Nam broke out 70 % approved the War. It hovered over 50% for 3 years and we all know what a disaster that was. Just because we support it does not make it right. Just like in gambling, the public is usually wrong

radio..it might not be ironic, but it is surley moronic to suggest that Bush is not intelligent.

I think the last "intellegent" president was impeached.

p.s. the problem with saying 'always', kaya, is that used the way you did it is almost 'always' wrong - I never have called leftists idiots or other names like that, and I think you could consider me on the right in the political spectrum.

Jazz,

We've gone head to head before, you know you get my respect. You provide thoughtfull debate. It's just irritating the ways some of these smucks constantly repeat those types of insults simply because we disagree.

Patriot,

Wake up! He got turned down by the U. of Texas because his grades were too low. He only got a 1200 on his S.A.T.'s, which when you think about it is pitful considering that S.A.T.'s reflect preperation more than intelligence and that he's from an affluent family. He avoided Nam knowing he would go into politics, that's dumb. The Pope asked him to stay the execution of that woman on death row back when he was governor of Texas. He didn't even respond, knowing he would run for president, that's dumb. You at least say sorry Pope I have to go with the wishes of those that elected me. He can barely express himself in public although he has no apparent speech impediment other than stupidity. He makes moronic comments like "Axis of Evil" making himself look prejudiced while offending god knows how many and increasing Anti-American sentiment. He thought he could get away with having Powell lie to the U.N. He was afraid to debate Saddam. He walked out of a press conference that he and Tony Blair were at because he couldn't handle the questions.
Bush Sr. was a bright guy but trying to say Bush Jr. is bright just makes you look bad Pat, stick up for him on other merits don't embarrass yourself.

Those that question the intelligence of the President are out of their minds.

He was smart enough to get elected president. The guy is no slouch. Just don't understand the criticism. 1200 on SATS is a good score.

It seems to me that you guys are throwing as much shit against the wall and seeing what sticks.

I voted for Bush and thank GOD everyday that we don't have pussy ALGORE for our President. (and I am not even a religious person)

It's a very bad idea to brag about Bush going to Yale. Yale has a very strong alumni tradition, Bush's daddy and granddaddy went there. That's how he got in. Think about it, who get's into Yale with a 1200 on their S.A.T.'s after being rejected from the U. of Texas.

Name a venerable University that doesn't?

I went to a rural public high school in PA, it was ranked second worst in the county, even their the average in my graduating class was around 1200.

Sorry but S.A.T.'s reflect adquired knowledge over 13 years of schooling. Coming from a family rich enough to be able to provide the very best education 1200 is a poor showing to say the least.

My feeling on this is that Bush did his job. In the Sept. 11th aftermath he said the things that people needed to hear. He did what was expected of a president.

Any man or woman would have done the same.
